Part of several upcoming outreach initiatives planned for different populations, the pinwheel synthesizer (2020), built in collaboration with TIMARA major Rachel Gibson and with my Sonic Arts in Society students, is a simple synthesizer designed around a lo-fi, custom-built potentiometer (made out of conductive ink, copper tape, and conductive thread). This is our second prototype; we are still tweaking the design. Find additional documentation here.
